Are You About to Make Your First-Ever Gift to the UW?
By making your first-ever gift in support of the UW, you can double your impact when you donate $100 or more to any fund. That’s right, choose a cause that’s close to your heart (every fund is eligible) and make twice the impact. And if that fund is also attached to a match or challenge your gift will be amplified even more! Important: to secure your match, you must ensure the “first-time donor” box is checked when you donate.
Where Would You Like to Give?
With so many worthy UW causes to choose from, deciding where to donate can be a little overwhelming. To start your selection process, consider supporting:
- Your student’s school or college
- Valuable research initiatives
- Student-focused funds like Student Affairs or the Parents Fund
- Community causes like the UW Arboretum or the Lakeshore Nature Preserve
Share the Fun with Your Student
After you make a gift, forward the gift confirmation email you will receive to your student. Then, encourage them to attend the festivities on campus and get extra perks when they show the gift receipt to a Day of the Badger volunteer.

Tuesday (4/14) Only
- Bucky Scavenger Hunt for squishy plush Buckyshidden around campus.
- School, college, student affairs, or Great People Scholarship vote, with the top vote-getter receiving a generous donation toward its cause. If your student shows your gift confirmation, they will get an extra vote!
Wednesday (4/15) Only
- Cash Grab in the Cash Dome to grab as many Badger bucks as possible to put toward a cause. If your student shows your gift confirmation, they will get extra time to grab more cash!
