Each year, the WAA: Chicago Chapter awards scholarships to outstanding Chicagoland high school seniors planning to attend UW–Madison. Since 1937, the chapter has given nearly $3 million in grants to more than 300 local students. The program is endowed, meaning scholarships are funded using income from investments professionally managed by the University of Wisconsin Foundation. This ensures that the program will continue to provide support into the future. However, it does not mean our work is done. Additional contributions are required to invest and generate more income to grow the number and size of the grants. Your support is needed to ensure that more deserving students from the Chicago area are provided with the opportunity to attend UW–Madison.
