First-Time Donor Match

Welcome! Thank you for being here and for considering your first-ever gift in support of the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

By giving during Day of the Badger, you can double your impact (or maybe even triple it) when you donate $100 or more.

How to Match Your Gift

  • Make a gift of $100 or more to the fund of your choice. That’s right, choose any cause that’s close to your heart (every fund is eligible).
  • That gift will be matched and make twice the impact courtesy of Mary and Mike Jensen. Important: to secure your match, you must ensure that the “first-time donor” box is checked when you donate.
  • Here’s where it gets exciting: If the fund you choose is attached to another match or challenge, that can be stacked on top of your first-time donor match (e.g. you give $100 + first-time donor match $100 + fund match $100 = $300!).
  • It’s as simple as that to really see your impact soar!

Where Would You Like to Give?

With so many worthy UW causes to choose from, deciding where to donate can be a little overwhelming. To start your selection process, consider supporting:

  • Your school or college
  • Valuable research initiatives
  • Wisconsin Athletics
  • Medical advances through UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health
  • Student experiences like Student Affairs
  • Community causes like the UW Arboretum or the Lakeshore Nature Preserve

The Power of Collective Giving

Gifts of any amount add up and make a difference. One gift can change countless lives. That’s something to celebrate. Now, check out additional matches, challenges, and bonus bucks for more ways to amplify the impact of your first gift — and get in on some friendly competition where everybody’s a winner.
