American Indian & Indigenous Studies

The American Indian & Indigenous Studies (AIIS) program is dedicated to fostering an environment where the university community can explore, understand, and honor the rich cultures, traditions, and values of American Indian and Indigenous peoples. Our mission is to not only educate but also to empower students, equipping them with the leadership skills necessary to excel academically and make meaningful contributions to their communities. We also offer consultation, referral services, and community engagement programs that support student learning and academic success.

How your gifts make an impact

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our donors, whose generosity allows AIIS to thrive. Your contributions directly support student learning, enhance programming initiatives, and propel critical research and scholarship. Every gift expands opportunities for students, enhances special programs, and strengthens the ties between the university and the community.

Why we need your support

Your support is vital to the success and sustainability of the AIIS program. With your help, we can continue to host impactful events and provide essential educational resources to our students throughout the year. These contributions are not just financial; they are investments in the future of our students and the communities they will go on to impact. Together, we can continue to make a profound difference in the lives of our students and the broader community.

Gifts will be contributed to the American Indian & Indigenous Studies Fund – 112542985 at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
