The College of Letters & Science Honors Program offers students close connections with world-class faculty and the opportunity to engage in research projects from their first year to their senior thesis projects. Honors students undertake rigorous study in faculty-led seminars, challenge themselves in pursuing breadth and depth of knowledge, and practice creative thinking and informed citizenship. Honors students are highly engaged in their educations and communities. The L&S Honors Program offers students individualized advising; hosts events throughout the year; and provides funding to support research, study abroad, and academic conference opportunities. Your gift to the L&S Honors Program General Fund will enable us to support students as they conduct cutting-edge research on behalf of others, putting into practice the Wisconsin Idea.
During the 2023-24 academic year, $21,000 from the L&S Honors Program General Fund was awarded to 17 students to support their study abroad experiences or presentations at research conferences. Your gift will provide direct financial support to future L&S Honors students looking to have these educational opportunities.
