Who We Are: The Information School (iSchool) at UW–Madison is a leader in research and education at the intersection of technology and humanity.

Our Background: Our history dates back more than 100 years to when the Wisconsin Library School became part of the university, and our master’s degree program in library and information studies has long been considered one of the top programs of its kind in the nation. Today, as a founding department of the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences, we train innovative information professionals across an array of degree programs exploring the complex interactions between people, information, and technology.

Our Commitment: The iSchool is committed to education and research that expands society’s understanding of the role of information in all aspects of science, nature, and humanity.

Your Impact: When you contribute to the iSchool, you:

  • Support awards and scholarships: By contributing to the iSchool, you empower us to fund student awards and scholarships that break down financial barriers, facilitating student travel to conferences and other professional development opportunities.
  • Kickstart careers: Gifts enable us to connect our students with leading organizations through practical and experiential learning.

Your Investment Drives Possibilities:

  • $75 provides a textbook for a student for a semester.
  • $250 can cover the registration for a professional conference.
  • $1,000 can support a scholarship for a deserving iSchool student.

Seize the Day (of the Badger): Join us in preparing the next generation of information leaders by making your gift today.

Gifts will be contributed to the Library and Information Studies Annual Fund – 132543570 at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
