The WAA: Washington, DC, Chapter raises scholarship funds in order to provide need-based scholarships to students from the greater Washington, DC, area to attend the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Since 2010, we’ve awarded over 56 incoming freshman and continuing students scholarships totalling more than $280,000. The number of scholarships and amounts awarded each year vary based upon the demonstrated financial need of each student. Our main focus is reducing the financial barriers to students who may otherwise not have the opportunity to attend UW-Madison.

Gifts will be contributed to the Washington, DC Alumni Scholarship Fund – 112901727 at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
