4-H is the nation’s largest youth development and empowerment organization. In Wisconsin, more than 26,000 youth are members of 4-H, and more than 5,600 volunteers serve as mentors for 4-H youth. 4-H programming aims to engage youth in activities to increase their leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. Our programs center on the 4-Hs: head, heart, hands, and health. This is the foundation for everything we do.
How your gifts make an impact
The promise of Wisconsin 4-H is to provide all young people a place to belong, a chance to experience positive relationships with others, and an opportunity to explore their interests – something we call “sparks” in the 4-H world. To fulfill this promise, 4-H clubs must reflect the current interests of and communities which young people call home.
Why we need your support
Barriers to participation in 4-H must be addressed to support the many different lives that youth lead throughout the entire state of Wisconsin. Giving to 4-H helps to reduce these barriers and support thriving 4-H programming. Support for 4-H helps facilitate transportation, financial aid, and building capacity for those involved in 4-H.
