Art History - How Gifts Make a Difference

CHALLENGE GIFT AVAILABLE: The Art History Board of Visitors invites you to join them in a challenge! Help unlock an additional $25,000. 30 donors unlocks $5,000 20 more donors unlocks an additional $10,000 and 10 more donors unlocks an additional $10,000 for a total $25,000.

Contributions to help fund the humanities are of the utmost importance. To become a top department, we must attract and retain the best and brightest professors and students. Your gift will fund professorships to ensure the prestige of the department and graduate-student fellowships. We also need your support for undergraduate internships and research travel for groundbreaking publications and to promote the good name of the department. Every contribution matters!

Why We Need Your Support

In the Department of Art History, we instill the skills of visual literacy, historical and cultural attentiveness and sensitivity, and critical thinking. Our emphasis on interdisciplinary collaborations encourages broad-based cultural, economic, and ethical questions with the end goal of producing new knowledge and new perspectives. Art history is uniquely situated to instill the skills required to navigate this world, and to offer innovative solutions to its most challenging issues. The faculty of the art history department has set lofty goals for itself and its students. Your contribution and commitment will strengthen the department’s voice as we take a leading role in the formation of new generations and work toward becoming a top-ranking art history department.
